What is Rollover Meter Exception?

The meter reading rollover is a type of exception that helps to identify cases when a meter reaches its maximum possible reading and then resets to zero, continuing to count from that point.

For instance, once the meter's reading reaches its maximum value (e.g., 99,999 for a 5-digit meter), it resets to zero, and a new cycle of counting commences.

In this case, the previous meter reading should be quite close to the meter maximum (e.g., 99,986), and the current reading is typical of new meters (e.g., 11).
