Meter Alerts

If your utility's AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) data is integrated with Current through Beacon, you can enable Meter Alerts to be notified of unusual meter activity.

Note: Meter Alerts require an active Beacon AMI integration. If you don't see this option, contact support to confirm your integration status. Reach out to support to enable.

Once enabled, Navigate to Settings>Meter Alerts  in the Admin Portal.

The option to configure a High Daily Usage alert rule can be seen here. other meter alert types can still exist without it.

Once this is enabled and the AMI integration is set up in the current environment, the alerts will begin to appear in the Meter Alerts section. The indicator columns on the alerts table (communication sent / service order created) can also be seen here. Example:

In this section, the meter alerts can be viewed in Needs Attention, Triaged, Inactive and All.

Needs Attention = active alert still requiring review

Triaged = active alert has been reviewed/accepted/acknowledged

Inactive = alert has ended or is no longer active

To view all the alert types and their status, select the Arrow

The three dots (ellipses) can be selected to view actions to take on the account. Action history can be viewed, a service order can be created, an email can be sent, or all alerts can be acknowledged for that meter ID.

The alerts can be bulked acknowledged, service orders created and send emails if multiple are selected

Sending Email

When sending a meter alert email, the option to choose the template needs to be chosen then previewed.

Email template can be configured in your Settings > Communications >Electronic Templates
