Managing Payment Plans via the Exempt List
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to manage payment plans for delinquent accounts. It explains how to mark an account as exempt, view exempt accounts, add payment plan details, flag important comments, and remove an account from the exempt list. Following this guide will help individuals efficiently handle and track payment plans, ensuring that customers meet their obligations and are properly managed within the delinquency process.
1. From the Delinquency page, open the 3-dot menu on an account.

2. Mark them exempt by clicking on this icon. This will remove them from the normal delinquency process so that they won't be getting fees anymore.

3. To look up this account, find them under the "Exempt Accounts" tab

4. Click on the hyperlinked text to open up the account in the right-hand panel.

5. Note the details of the payment plan on the account by creating a new activity in the top right.

6. Type in the payment plan details in the Description field. For example: "Customer is now on a payment plan, and has promised to pay $50 a month for the next 6 months."

7. Click "Save" to log this comment on the account.

8. To flag this comment for higher visibility, open the 3-dot menu here.

9. Click "Flag"

10. See how this comment is now highlighted at the top of the customer account, and is easy to see.

12. If the customer does not meet their payment obligations and you want to remove them from the exempt account list, you can do so via the 3-dot menu.

13. You can mark the customer "Not Exempt" to put them back in the delinquency process

14. You will then find this account back in the same phase they were in before they were marked "Exempt".
