Personal Settings

Personal Settings is where you manage your own sign-in and preferences in the admin portal: your contact details, multi-factor authentication (MFA), your password, and how the navigation menu behaves.

These settings only affect you. They don't change anything for other users or for your organization.

Opening Personal Settings

1. Click your name at the bottom of the left-hand menu.

2. Choose Personal settings.

The page has three tabs: Contact & MFA, Password and Preferences.

Light or dark mode

The same menu has an Appearance section. Choose Light, Dark or System (match your computer's setting). The change applies right away.

Contact & MFA

Update your Email and Phone, and turn on multi-factor authentication to add a verification code to your sign-in.

To turn on MFA:

1. Check Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
2. Choose a Verification method: Text message (SMS) or Email. Make sure the matching phone or email above is correct.
3. Click Send verification code.
4. Enter the 6-digit code you receive and click Verify. A Verified label appears.
5. Click Save. A "Contact and MFA settings saved" message confirms it.

From then on, you'll enter a code each time you sign in. See also MFA For User Accounts.

If you change your email or phone and se "Settings saved. Sign in again to refresh your session," sign out and back in to finish.

Password

Enter your Current password, then your New password twice under Confirm new password. Passwords need at least 8 characters. Click Save, and a "Password changed" message confirms it.

Preferences

Automatically expand navigation on hover: when checked, the left-hand menu opens to show page names when you move your mouse over it. Uncheck it to keep the menu narrow until you click to expand it. Click Save, and a "Preferences saved" message confirms it.

This preference follows you across every organization you have access to.

Common questions

I didn't get the verification code. Check that the email or phone above is correct, then click Send verification code again. If you see "Verification code was not sent. Check your contact details or try again later," wait a few minutes and try again.

I got "Incorrect code, please try again." Codes are 6 digits. Use the most recent code you received.

I got "Please verify your code before saving." You turned on MFA but haven't verified a code yet. Send and verify a code first, then click Save.

I forgot my password. Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. The Password tab is only for changing it while you're signed in.

Can I change settings for another user? No. Personal Settings only changes your own account. To add users or change their roles, see Add a User and Set User Details.

The menu keeps opening when I move my mouse past it. Uncheck Automatically expand navigation on hover on the Preferences tab. See Navigating the Application for more on the menu.
